2016 Nissan Maxima Design

On the outside of the new 2016 Nissan Maxima is a design that is truly unique and aggressive. Up front is Nissan's signature V-Motion grille that is flanked by boomerang-style headlights and standard LED daytime running lights. On the side are 18-inch machined aluminum-alloy wheels, with 19-inch wheels available on the Maxima SR. Inside is a cockpit designed with the driver in mind. According to Nissan, engineers visited the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels to get ideas on how to truly build a sweeping, wrap-around design. You'll love the Maxima's Zero Gravity front seats and premium Ascot leather-appointed seating surfaces.

2016 Nissan Maxima Technology and Safety

Tech-wise, the 2016 Nissan Maxima comes with an 8.0-inch color display with multi-touch control that allows you to use swiping and pinch-to-zoom gestures. It's also available with Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant for Android devices and Nissan's Voice Recognition for navigation and audio. If a great sound system is what you're wanting, the Maxima is available with an 11-speaker Bose audio system. On the safety side, the new Maxima comes with an extensive range of safety features, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Warning.  

 

2016 Nissan Maxima Performance

The new Maxima arrives with a brand new 3.5-liter VQ-series V6 engine that puts down 300 horsepower and 261 pound feet of torque. It also achieves 30 miles per gallon on the highway and 22 in the city. Mated to this engine is a new Xtronic transmission with a wider gear ratio range that helps to add stronger acceleration. This transmission also has an all-new D-Step shifting logic that gives rapid shifts and holds rpms when detecting a high-G cornering event.
